Wow, what an eventful day!!! The men worked today on preparing boards for all of the windows on campus. We have covered 25 so far, thank goodness for Clyde, and will complete the job tomorrow afternoon. Everyone seems to be overwhelmed by the resent storms. A lot of small jobs have been put to the back burner due to all the major issues. David Annas worked as a maintenance man installing light bulbs, putting down carpet strips, and replacing door locks. The men were pulled of their carpentry work after lunch when one of the cafeteria workers discovered a major water leak. We dug the trench around the water line so the plumber could do the repair quicker. The women spent their day sewing bags and cutting fabric in the UMCOR depot. Tomorrow we all will load a container going to the Republic of Georgia. Todd, Clyde, Wally, David and Ritch went into Franklin after dinner and spent some time cutting and clearing trees from a cemetery. We met a public works department worker, Calvin, who was very grateful. He said he would pass this good deed along to the mayor and his church, saying, "how hard the NC mountain boys have worked".
